A Nation in Crisis – BlueLivesBlog

A Nation in Crisis – BlueLivesBlog  I initially wrote this blog on July 8, 2016, only a few hours after the ambush of the Dallas Area Regional Transport and Dallas Police officers. My anger was raging, and fear was burning in my throat. I wrote in haste and colored by emotions, so I decided to set aside the writing for a few days and return to it when I was calmer and more collected. Maybe even as a nation, we could begin to heal from the worst attack on police officers since 9/11. However, here is the reality:  since the attack on Dallas, 12 more officers have died in the line of duty, bringing July’s line of duty deaths to 20. I am still angry; I am still afraid.

First, we want to Thank the Ones who got their Fallen K9 Memorial T-Shirts from us.
Now we have the 2016 Police Week Roll Call T-Shirts honoring our 2015 Fallen Law Enforcement Officers Killed in the Line of Duty last Year.

The Blue Alert Foundation and Blue Line Across America are pleased to offer this 'Limited Edition' National Police Week 2016 Honor Roll shirt to serve as a 'walking memorial' to the men and woman who gave their lives in the line of duty during 2015.

Blue Alert is currently in 25 States by law and we are working on 8 more States to get the Blue Alert Law passed.  You can learn more by visiting our website:  www.BlueAlert.us/about_us

The "Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu National Blue Alert Act of 2015" (H.R. 1269) & (S.665) passed into law in May 2015.  It establishes a National Blue Alert system to help apprehend criminals who have seriously injured, killed, captured, or have made imminent and credible threats of serious injury or death towards police officers.

Join us in honoring the service and sacrifice of these brave men and women!

A Memorial Band Honoring PO Ashley Guindon's Short Career is Available from the Foundation

We are mourning with the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia after the loss of a Sister. Officer Ashley Guindon was shot and killed while responding to a reported 'verbal assault' complaint. The suspect had killed his wife and then ambushed Officers as they approached. Officer Guindon's FTO and a third Officer were also shot during the incident. A suspect has been taken into custody.
Officer Guindon had only been sworn in a day ago as an Officer for the Prince William County Police Department. It was her first day on patrol with her FTO. She is survived by her family.
We create these humble memorials as a small token of our appreciation for the dedication to service our Brothers and Sisters have while protecting the citizens of the communities they serve. We also light blue lights to honor the memory of these fallen Officers as a symbol of hope and gratitude. We will shine our blue lights across America tonight for Officer Guindon. May she follow the blue glow home.
Officer Guindon is the 13th Officer honored by Blue Line Across America to fall in the line of duty during 2016. She is the 1st Officer lost this year from the State of Virginia.

Remember Our 2015 Fallen K9 Heroes

Remember Our 2015 Fallen K9 Heroes Booster Fundraiser  <--- Link to Order T-Shirts

36 Hours Left to Get your T-Shirt and Help us to get Protective Vests for K9s

Blue Alert Foundation wishes to purchase ballistic vests & heat alert systems for K9 Officers who currently serve as a tribute to the 26 K9's who were lost in the line of duty during 2015.
In 2015, 26 K9 Officers gave their lives in the line of duty from across the country. Gunfire contributed to 4 of these losses; 1 as the result of stabbing.  Eleven others were lost as the result of heat exhaustion. We wanted to create a 'walking' tribute to honor these fallen K9 heroes. We also want to take advantage of this opportunity to protect as many of our K9 Officers as resources will allow. Proceeds from your t-shirt memorial purchases will be used to outfit as many of our four-legged warriors as possible.

This design was created by Blue Line Across America working in cooperation with the Blue Alert Foundation.

The t-shirt design contains the NAME, DEPARTMENT & DATE OF LOSS of all 26 K9s lost in the line of duty during 2015.

Saving a Heroes Place and Blue Alert Foundation Presenting "Charlie K" Honor Chair

Saving a Heroes Place and Blue Alert will be Presenting an Honor Chair to the Tarpon Springs PD & Family of Fallen Ofc. Charles "Charlie K" Kondek Jr. on February 17th at 9:00am at the Tarpon Springs Police Department.

From: Saving a Heroes Place Facebook Page

When the honor chair pieces are cut out, engraved, assembled, stained, and sealed, only then is it time to add the last thing. The rope! Why? Because this seat is already taken. An honor chair is not to be sat in because it is already occupied by a fallen hero who will be there in roll call with you before you head out to carry on the watch.
Be safe, wear your vest, and buckle up. -T

Shaq visits Gainesville Florida Police Dept. to Backup Officer White!

Shaq visits Gainesville Florida Police Dept. to Backup Officer White!

Well, Shaq surprised us and dropped by GPD this afternoon. He saw our viral video and wanted to meet Officer White. More importantly, he heard that Ofc. White was planning to bring backup to challenge the kids to a street game. These kids will never forget the day Shaq rolled up to their house to play ball. (Photos by Ofc. Ben Tobias/GPD)

Some Comments left on-line

Latelyia Marie Benitez This is so amazing! Office white, you should be very proud; my heart is warmed so much by the love you showed these children! We need more cops like you please!

Patty Peck Meisenholder Look at this young man's face.... so awesome to see Shaq making a difference in this young man's eyes. So cool.
